Don't get me wrong...Dealership will over charge...I have to admit that...But just using the right stuff is the key factor...I didn't last long working as a mechanic because i didn't feel like ripping people off..So my honest oppinion is to use the right stuff and do it right...But you have to know that indpendent shops don't specialized in our cars...So you have a higher chacne that a moron is working on your car and if he messes up...Do you think the owner is going to help you out?

Damn it... i Guess..
Does anyone know of a good place to get brakes replace in Orange County? I need to find a place to get them replaced at a resonable cost.

My brakes started to squeel today when i drive. You think it's bad to drive the car for prolong hours with this problem?

My suggestion is to go to the dealship and get th parts and have a locla Nissan shop do it...Not a auto place. But a place that has Ex-Nissan techs....I know many techs that left the dealships to start a shop...Those are the ones you want to go to...

^^^Squeaking sound is just unpleasant to a car owner,...Doesn't mean that the brakes are bad...They will technicaling work fine but just because they are squeaking does't mean they are bad.

^^ But they are making a high pitch sound when i'm driving and stops when i tap on the brakes. I've never experienced that before today. Does that mean my brakes are going out?

Ok....how many miles? It looks like you have a 2007...Impossible but anyways...If you have brake squeak and it's under warranty then go get it looked at the dealership...They can't really charge you for anything is the car is low mileage....

If its a constant sound then it might mean that the pads are worn REALLY low and the sound you hear is made by a little piece of metal on the pads that rubs on the rotor. This is designed to tell the driver that pads are dangerously low and you have it looked at. It shouldnt be damaging the rotor if it just started, but it might if you keep driving on it

I change the rotors each time I change the pads. Go to www.everythingg35.com and buy the OE parts from them. They are cheaper than anyother place I know of and they ship quickly. The fronts are way easy. The rears are a tad more difficult due to space. But with a cool relaxed hand you should be done in an hour maybe two because of being unfamiliar.

Take it to independant. Chain shop like Midas, etc do horrible jobs. I've seen some of the most stupidest things come out of there. Half of their techs don't even know how to properly resurface a rotor.

PW, if you want I can do it for you. My shop is only like 20-30mins from your work. I can provide you with OEM pads, or aftermarket if you want, like Hawk, Project MU, etc.

Yup, that's what the mechanic said it was. I need to fix the fronts soon, but at a reasonable cost.
