It's more complicated to make one for the G than it is for the Z. Just from looking at the ones that are out, you can see that they're not like other strut braces. notice where the strut towers are in the engine bay. It would be a pain to install them too if you had big hands.

JMHO...
But those lower units are more bling than function.
You've got to box & brace the open tower tops for any real improvement.

My VRT STB was a fantastic mod. Expensive - Yes. Worth it - YES!
my reflections on it after the installation are posted elsewhere. Do a search, and see how much I luv the darn thing. It was money well spent.

I 100% agree with you, Lou.
BTW, This STB looks great on Eagle1's car in the picture in this months Sport Compact Car magazine and even better in this months C16 Autostyle magazine, awesome.
These strut tower braces are still available through Scott at VRT, if interested e-mail him at wa2good@hotmail.com

I drove Scott's G35 out at Streets of Willow last weekend and loved the way it felt with the front strut tower brace. It felt like a Z which is awesome. I have a G35 as well, so I could tell the difference right off the bat. I was pleasantly suprised that I could actually feel that much of a difference. I thought it would be one of those mods that you can't really tell you installed when driving, but it was awesome. The G35 needed it pretty badly.

I had the VRT STB installed last week on my 05 5AT coupe and from a performance standpoint, you can definitely feel a difference when cornering even with my stock suspension. I actually drove down to SD to have Scott's fabricator install it. It basically took him less than 30 minutes. When I got home, I noticed on the hood where the hood and headlamp meet on the driverside was raised a little right at the lamp. So there was a clearance problem on the drivers side of the crossbar I hadn't noticed before. After loosening a few bolts and fiddling with the crossbar and mounts a little, the clearance problem was solved. I found out about the STB thru these boards. After meeting with Scott and having been pleased with the STB I wanted to pass along my good experience with him and his shop. He's got pics of the STB on my coupe after installation that he's welcome to post.

Can you leave the engine cover on with it?

Only if you heavily cut the engine cover to make it fit. IMO I would just leave it off since it only serves to trap heat anyways.
