Exclamation installed kinitex camber kit PROBLEMS

The upper joint or whatever is hitting the upper part of the fender. There is a horrible banging sound going over bumps. Everything was fine before. The shop said that is the only way it can go in. The back is fine.

I assume you're referring to the front camber arm. Did you get an alignment already? Maybe the shop that installed it set it at too much positive camber.

Or maybe they put the arms on the wrong side. e.g. left on right, vice versa
Maybe you should check your parts too. They could have give your two right arms or two left. I ordered 350evo arms before and got two left arms on accident.

Yes the camber arm is hitting a protruding part of the wheel well on both sides the guy at the shop said the alignment's dead on. Is it clearly marked left and right? Everyone goes to this guy I figured I wouldn't have a problem. Thanks for your suggestions. I am hoping someone else had this problem and its an easy fix.

There is a limit to how far out you can adjust them.

FWIW...
1. You need to trim the plastic wheel liner a bit.
2. You can also work the upper cup steel out a bit (hammer out) to gain more clearance.

I ment that everyone that installs the kit will run into this. If not then I would have a bigger problem.
I want to grind the area down down does anyone know if there are hidden wires I need to look out for?

its a pretty common problem with camber kits and lowered cars, many people had the same problems with the front control arms on the prelude, it would actually break through the metal leaving a hole in the engine compartment

have you called Kinetix yet? On their website and the times I have spoken to them, it was never stated that the part or the car has to be modified to fit properly. Personally, I wouldn't keep it on the car if it doesn't fit properly.

i had a Gen5 lude (long time ago) and was 2.2"+ lowered and no
issues... TEIN HA's with pillow mounts. i had a WRX with similar
setup (a while ago) running HA's with pillowmounts as well... no
clearance issues.

hitting the liner or clearance issues has never been a common problem
for me....either the part was made without much consideration to the car
or just not done right.

Knew it was some kind of install error. Glad you found the problem.
