I am not sure if my front shock is blown? How do I check? At times I hear a thump sound...

 

Is your vehicle lowered? If so, did you use the stock or factory shocks? Did you cut/replace the factory bump stops?

Oh yeah, if you push down on your car where the shock in question is and the car keeps bouncing, you probably have a bad shock.

When do you hear the thump? I had a thump from one of my sway bar bushings before. I have stillen sways though with poly bushings and had to switch back to stock bushings.

When I go over bumps... Some of the bumps are not even that big.

If it is blown, do I have to replace all 4? Anyone know how much stocks run or is better just get aftermarket shocks?

 

Ok, I pushed up and down on the car. I heard nothing??? Any ideas?

 

When I go over bumps I hear a little Psssssttt on the front and nothing on the back.
