How bad are non-revised 350z shocks?

I have a '06 non-sport Sedan that I want to swap in the 350z shocks/springs. With the demand for the revised shocks high, its hard picking up a set as well as more costly. The non-revised are everywhere and dirt cheap.

So my question, is just how bad are they? Is their gonna be that much of a benefit to wait longer and pay more for the newer ones?

Just looking for some advice since I'm terrible at waiting!

the rear shocks for unrevised z's were bouncy. that's why they were redone... it's a gamble, IMO.
