so i have the 05 sport tuned suspension, and when i go over speed bumps with the windows down, i can hear the car make a noise, i don't know how to describe it, it's not a squeaky noise but is sounds like springs compressing, its like a quick "pssssssssssst" sound. anyway, i've never noticed that sound on my previous cars, and my last car had a really stiff suspension. so i dunno if its normal or what. any help is appreciated

i figured it was normal, b/c i remember hearing the sound last summer when i had just baught the car. its always in the summer when i work in office buildings and hear the noise going over bumps in their echoey parking lots. during the school year, i don't think about it.

 

I have that noise as well (among others). I think it's the shocks in compression that's making that noise. Sounds like gas passing through a valve right?

I have Tein Basics, I haven't really heard the psssst sound, but I have other wierd sounds when going over speed bumps or hitting a bump in the road, i can't quite understand. From what i hear our cars make many different sounds and that is normal

 

Sounds like compression rods to me it's a common thing.
