Duplicolor Brake Paint

Just picked up two kits of Duplicolor Brake Paint from Walmart based on the suggestions of many.

The paint is only good for temps to 500 (occasional, not substained).

Anyone having problems with this?

Anyone have this on and not have problems?

I COOKED through a set of stock rotors with my poor highway driving (or good, depending if you're a racer or a normal mini-van-driving driver), and have a set of slotted coming in.

I'm using black. I cant imagine it will turn colors, just worried about it coming off, or ending up on the surface of the rotor causing more problems (fire / not stoping)

You may want to return it and get the engine paint or VHT high temp 1600 degrees. Rustoelum made a BBQ grill paint in satin black that was good for 1100 degrees. 500 might be enough though..good luck.

If the only thing I can find over 500 is in a rattle-can, could I just spray some in a paper cup then paint it on with a brush? This is going to be an outside project, theres no f'in way I'm spraying anything near that car... It's got enought crappy blends and spray jobs on it (bumper is half SILVER, not DP )

Dupli-Color should be just fine. I've used it on calipers and valve covers before.
