I had mines serviced about 6 or 8 months ago. The service advisor told me that there was some kind of service bulletin and ordered some kind of shim kit and replaced all the pads.

A TSB is replacing or fixing a known or common error or defect in the car. Brake pads wearing out = normal wear and tear, not a defect.
