Re: Rear wheel camber.

I think I spend too much time on this forum as it is! What, and how much time is involved? Do I have to act as though I'm NOT insane?

Re: Rear wheel camber.

Sounds like the camber thing is 'stock' and lends itself to fast cornering, (and perhaps premature tire wear). I wonder if this can be adjusted to a less aggressive 'stance'? That would cost a little performance but save in expensive tires. Would be nice to get the Michelin Pilots to last just a little longer. And besides at my 'tender' age, (Gord) , I can't take more than .25 G's anyway. Perhaps I'll become more resilliant as I get 'younger' (right Gord?)
Ground clearance is already at a premium on the Coupe; For me and my habits, I wouldn't want any less. (suits my occasional 'off road excursion' LOL, and not too bad on potholes, RR tracks, and speed bumps either. haha........

Do you have to act like you're sane? Heck I hope not. I'm a lousy actor. Besides it helps to be a 'nut' , right? right?
Warmed up out there yet,Gord? It should have.....You've sent all the damned cold here! YUK!

Re: Rear wheel camber.

Yeh I've driven both- albeit for a short time!
I liked the Sedan a lot, but it seems the Coupe suits me (and Prince) more. For me It has to be a vanity thing: I'll never get anywhere near the 'limits' of the car- but it sure is nice hearing about it's capabilities, and that our cars can be raced.
It's been a long wait for ya, Stew. Just think when it finally does come in: You're gonna appreciate it even more. Lots more than those 'lucky' stiffs that walked in a bought off the S/R floor. You'll be fine, be fine, be fine, be fine.

Re: Rear wheel camber.

Nah, I don't really have to act. We're in the midst of a deep freeze. Also on the W/E, we got what looks to be about a foot of snow! At least my Blizzaks won't wear as fast now.LOL! I stopped behind a mini-van yesterday on a hill. He had a hard time starting up despite FWD and ended up polishing the road to a nice ice. I had my moment of not knowing whether I could start up the hill as I couldn't change lanes (morning rush). After what seemed like several minutes, the VDC finally figured out how to get me started and on my way. I put 150lbs of sand in the trunk today, so hopfully I won't have anymore problems.

150# of sand? Is it really that hard to 'feather' the gas on snow? You can tell we haven't had much yet. It's been cold as a witch's T*t but not much snow at all. I'll sacrifice my Yokahamas for no snow any day.......Drive Safe........

Re: Rear wheel camber.

ya you can't tell from the picture, but I could tell when I was driving behind my car. I was up in a F150 so I saw it from a higher view.

I really thought the camber problem was from drifting and donuts, but I guess it's normal.

Re: Rear wheel camber.

Not hard to drive on snow. As I said, had a bit of concern with trying to start out on ice from a dead stop while headed up hill! Today, with the windchill factored in, it was minus 35 degrees C (-32 F for our southern neighbors (American spelling of neighbours)
