how about you cut your springs and let us know how it feels......trial and error since you dont beleive in anyone else

I had no intentions of cutting my springs. I already have springs, but was just curious. I wanted a technical explanation rather than smart@ss answers about it being ghetto.

If you do cut springs, there are right and wrong ways to do it. Keep the spring cool or it will lose temper and won't hold squat. It will collapse upon itself like a slinky. In other words, don't use a torch.
