is it worth getting coilovers

i was just planning on getting springs but someone mentioned getting Tein coilovers instead. But, if i get the coilovers, i will need a camber kit, is that correct? If i do get the Coilovers, am i ok with getting Tein Basic coilover kit or should i get TEIN Coilovers -Type CS? What do people think?

What's your budget? How are you going to use them? For most springs, your going to need a camber kit as well, but the majority of people who get springs are cheap, so they opt out of getting the camber stuff.

For most springs, your going to need a camber kit

1.0" of lowering increases negative camber by ~~0.8 degrees so any lowering will need a camber kit if you want to precisely return to the midpoint of the camber range. As opposed to the broad wide oem range designed to limit warranty expense.

Tires work best when the static and loaded camber is - 0.5 to -0.75 degrees.

Static is easy, loaded [at 0.9G] is the hard part.

I use my g for everyday driving, so am i ok with jut getting the Tein Basic coilovers and do i need front and rear camber kit? Are the coilovers hard to install? I have a friend that has a lift, and he has worked on cars for years, can we install the coilovers ourselves?

I can afford the coilovers but is it good enough to go basic Tein coilovers. I really do not plan on taking the car to the track, i might take it the the 1/4 mile track if anything. I also want to get stillen sway bars and get some more power out of the car.

Honestly, unless you're going to track the car or for some reason or another need to adjust the height, coilovers aren't necessary - you can find a set of springs with the ride height/rates you want for a lot cheaper. That's just my opinion though... guess it all depends on what you want to do with the car.

I eventually want to run it on the quarter mile and possibly put it on the track sometime next year but i am not planning on keeping it that long. i want the coilovers so that i can adjust the height when it snows. I want drop it a little bit in the winter bc of the snow and drop it more in the summer.
