BRAKES - if i upgarde do i need a new master cylinder?

BRAKES - if i upgrade do i need a new master cylinder?

im going with ap racing 14" 6 piston front and 4 piston 13" rears with stillen lines. will my brake pedal feel spongy at all? anyone done a complete big grake upgrade that can tell me a bit of theri impression? i have an at 06 coupe.

Depends on the TOTAL fluid volume of the new brake cylinders vs oem...........many of the big brake kits just use smaller caliper pistons with more of them.

If the volume is the same so is the clamping force [plus any gain from larger rotor diameter] just distributed better over the pads.

All the kits I have seen for the G/350Z say they work with the stock master.

You might want to look into the Stillen master cylinder brace. It helped mine.

thanks, after doing some research i purchased that brace this nmorning. will post results ad pics in the near future of everything!
