Stoptech Brakes Maintenance Question

I have stoptech brakes on my G and I was just wondering,

How much mileage is recommanded for brake pad change?
How much mileage is recommanded for rotor change?

I still get Brake squeak time to time, what is the cause of this?

Help would be great ^^

1. Depends on your driving style and type of driving
2. Ditto

Brakes squeak because of small vibrations. Usually a good bed-in solves the issue. Even if you bedded in the pads when they were new, if not driven aggressive enough, the brakes have a tendancy to unbed themselves, so it's good to do another bed-in.

Perfection would require that you examine the system closely every 3-6 months measuring the pad wear RATE so you can get an idea WHEN the 3>2 mm replacement of pads is necessary.

When you replace pads disassemble the calipers and clean and test dust boots and caliper piston seals. Flush and replace the brake fluid annually. Measure the rotor thickness and measure the rotor runout and correct as necessary.

Most people don't maintain brakes very well.
