Bigest tire size possible on stock 06 coupe 19" rims
Hey everybody, does anyone know what the max size tire one can run on the 06 coupe 19" rims? I am currently running:
225/40/19 front
245/40/19 rear
225/40/19 front
245/40/19 rear

I'm in a bit of the same dilema right now. I went in to buy two new rear tires (245/40-19 Michelin Sport PS2), and they are on a national back order through Michelin for the next six weeks. My front tires have about half the tread left on them, so I only was looking at buying rear tires. The other problem is that I don't want to mix different brands of tires front to rear. What I ended up working out is that he would give me half credit on the fronts as long as a bought a set of four new Michelin PS2's. The sizes that we figured out (because of the VSD issue and not wanting to alter the OD that much) was 245/35-19 for the front and 265/35-19 for the rear.
I came on here this morning to see if anyone else has tried it, and it seems to me that it should work. One concern I have is that the footprint of the tire will be different (wider but shorter) and I didn't know if anyone had fooled around with tire pressures or even alignment settings to see how this worked. Also, I was wondering if anyone had any comments on how the car behaved with this different setup (ie. handling feel, griup levels, ride). I've concerned that a wider tire on a smaller wheel wouldn't return the same crisp handling feel of the stock setup.

285/30/19 WILL NOT fit the oem 19". Unless you dont care about the huge buldge or any safety.
