Question about Project Mu NS thickness?

Due to the horrid cold/wet stopping power of Hawk HPS pads, I decided to switch them out with Project Mu NS pads.

Couple of questions... how thick are out of the box PM pads? I was shocked to see that my old Hawk pads with 30k miles on them were about the same thickness as the brand new PM pads. Is that normal?

Also, are the Project Mu pads supposed to look like knock-offs? The turquoise paint was already flaking off and looked like a paint job I could have done in 2nd grade.

That being said, the initial bite on them bad boys blows the HPS pads out of the water.

I too noticed the cheap paint job on my PM NS pads. I replaced OEM pads that were wore out so I don't have a frame of reference for how thick they are compared to other new pads. But I've had mine on for about 2 months and I LOVE them.

BTW did you read the instructions? The Japanese-to-English translation made me LOL

Just like Summer tires have a warning against operation in cool weather, after market pads do not have to meet US Safety Standards for oem COLD BRAKE PADS!

Serious first stop of the day [panic braking] problems often occur and catch unaware drivers.........blowing thru stop signs etc.

Just like a seesaw you cannot have both cold and extreme hot in the same compound..............the oem come closest to balancing the situation thus the dust.

I believe the Project Mu NS pads are rated in in the same temp range as stock. Actually, I believe they start at the same place but they can handle slightly warmer temps. The BForce start off a a little warmer than stock and go past the stock high end range.

Of course, this all boils down to the info provided by the company selling them! I have the NS and love them. Never had any problems when they were cold!
