-DIY Front Strut Bar Almost Done

My DIY Front Strut Bar is almost done!
The Bar is still in the wraps as I am not done yet.

Right now, It just sit there. The holes are ligned up with
the Screws. But I can't lower the Bar any further, need to Extend
the front strut screw up 1/2 inch to meet the hole.

Anybody know where to get a Screw Extender?

See the Strut Screw here, need to extend up 1/2 " to meet the hole!

I would not advise doing that as it will be a major stress point butting all the stress on a threaded screw. you could cut the bar on both sides then have it rewelded for like 20$ at any welding place.

Great suggestion!

There are two contact points on each end. One screw in & i need to the other contact point welded in.

I have only one screw on each side, one might be ok without extending it, the one in the picture definitly need to be extended, I have alread cut the extra piece off, and now the hole is above the screw.

Does any one know what's the spec of thsi screw?
It seems to fit Metric, 12mm ranch. I need to know the inner thread
spec, Anybody know?

not sure, but those side brackets look too tall and not enough
horizontal support. let us know how it turns out.

ma_sha1, Not nocking what you are trying to do at all, but.....
before my successfull attempt that is available now, I have attempted quite a few configurations of this front strut tower brace for the G. They include, but are not limited to this (almost exact) configuration you have going here.
First off, someone already mentioned that these brackets alone will not support the side load that this heavy car will put on that bar, and secondly even with longer "grade 8" or stronger bolts in the top strut location, there will be way too much stress on them at that point and angle and they will snap or bend... believe me. I aplode your effort though...
