Rotor Cleaning

I just got my rear rotors replaced and the are way more shiny than my fronts even though they are the same brand. I did not relize they had dulled so much. Can anyone recomend the best way to get them back to their original color without damaging them?

Got any pics of what you're talking about? I would be cautious b/c if you put some kind of cleaner on the rotors it might eat up your wheel. I would suggest using soap and water with a light scouring sponge.

Cuz they get used and dull. The rears will get dull in a couple months and they will match.

Good point but I was looking to go the other way. I want them nice and shiny.

But whats the point? They're not going to stay shiney. Its a wear item, thats what happens to them, they get worn. If you want the fronts shiney too, then get new ones. And in a month, they'll look just like how they look right now.

Yes, I understand that BUT if there is a way to clean them, then can't I do that any time they get dull. It may be just me but when I put my car in a show or I am at a meet, I want them to be in show form. I guess I am beating a dead horse so thanks anyway.

Resurface them everytime you go to a meet, or get new rotors.
