deal or no deal?

Just bought an 04 G35 coupe 5at for 9large and am pretty new to the scene so to speak. 102k miles, maticilously maintenanced, clean straight body, clear coat in great shape. Usual suspects on interior. Interior is all infiniti but they have rebadged to skyline gt350 very nice and clean job. Wrapped headers, test pipes, borla cat back. Non CAI and TBS.

Plan on wheel spacers, skykine tailights, high flow cats. Im not going for a superjdmyo stanced ride here, function is priority. Nothing gawdy, just a nice clean look.

Sorry for the shitty pictures, I'll take some proper ones for you guys once its clean.
Give me your feedback, what do you think g35driver?

This is also my 1st post, so flame away I'll hang up and listen

I'd say get rid of all the Nissan badges, replace the front grill emblem with an Infiniti one, unplastidip those wheels.... All in all, debadge that trunk for sure and I think that'd be a good start....if the wheels look bad after you peel the dip, get them powder coated in the color you like or plastidip in the color you can tolerate....of course till you can afford or get them powder coated to you liking....

I was gonna run these tires until theyre dead and just get some rims and good rubber. I take it the nissan badging kinda makes me a poser?

Welcome to the G35 Driver forums! Great looking coupe for the $$! From the pic you also have a plenum spacer, since you don't have the engine cover I'm guessing it's MDs 1/2". Unless that K&N filter is beat up it can be cleaned using the K&N cleaning kit available from most auto parts stores. (Follow the instructions) Gotta love Plasti-Dip freaks, they aren't sure what to do so they use that crap in case they change their minds. HFCs (high flow cats) will make your exhaust sound better, good ! Like other member have already posted, debadge and go back to Infiniti badging on the grille. Cleaning up those wheels/grill is a good project for a Saturday morning, all morning! Good Luck with your new coupe, enjoy the ride...Gary

Yea i also would like to plug the o2's back in to gain some MPG, the test pipes are way too raspy for me, ive always loved the sound of a V35. I installed the KN brand new, i let my 5 year old help, hense the stickers.... i will say toward 6k rpm, it sounds incredible, and has tons of power, cant wait to get her dyno'd

Also, what are yalls thoughts on a strut tower brace, suspension rides great, i just want it alittle more stable and tight, i figure that paired with the wheel spacers would achieve this, and give me a more aggressive look. Bushings are all in great shape and make no noise. I do hear strut bump, or what sounds like strut bump, under hard cornering at times. Anybody else run into this? I know it is fairly common on sporty suspensions. My 06wrx had strut bump like a bitch.

Strut braces do nothing. They need to be tied in a triangle to have any effect. It has to go strut to strut, then each strut has to be linked inward to the firewall.

Not a bad deal, but was still a little much for an 04 automatic. You could've gotten it for maybe $8k, but as long as you're happy with it now, its fine.
