I've been in two cars that had PSS9 and I like the ride comfort the most out of the other coilover i've been in. I personally have been in Cusco, Zeal, JIC, and Tein. Although Tein may be close to PSS9 ride quality, but between this two I prefer Bilstein. Perhaps that's the reason the spring rate is lower than others.
I think the dampter is adjustable from the bottom, I don't believe they have a self adjusting micro-chip. But then again, this may be changed since my last research.
