Quick reply requested - re Akebono pads
I just received the Akebono ProAct (model ACT905) pads from ImportRP via UPS.
The label on the box says "Ceramic Pad and Shim Kit" but unfortunately I don't know what shims look like exactly. However, there are none in the box that are separate from the pads themselves. At the risk of sounding stupid, could I ask someone to describe said shims or send me a link to a pic? I googled but no luck.
The pads themselves look new as they were tightly encased in their bubble pack, but if the shims are external to that bubblepack then they are missing. Which is a bummer as I was going to install them this weekend, which is expected to be moderate weather and good for this kind of work.
