Hawk Success...............

Ever since my G was brand new I had issues with all the brake dust.........first set only lasted 10K miles and the second set left my Volks filty after only a few blocks......no diffrence! Yesterday morning by 8:30 I was installing my new Hawk HP brake pads. By 11:00 am I had finished the breakin process and then I let it sit all day to cool off........they got very hot and you could smell the new pads. I took my wife out to dinner last night and drove the car quite a few miles. This am I checked my wheels and was elated to find ZERO brake dust. Hawk pads were a very good choice!! =oD

That's great to hear. Did you just change the pads on all four wheels or just the fronts? Did you resurface your rotor? I'm tired of cleaning my wheels too and will be changing pads soon. Currently at 24K on stock pads. Thanks.

To continue............

I changed all four pads, I don't believe in doing a job half way. Since I
only have 14K on my G the discs were like new so all I did was sand them
lightly. I'm sure that part of my success was asking on this forum about
the brakein process and following it to the letter......thanks guys!!
