Hawk pads last a long time! 33,000miles with 50% left

Replaced my brake pads and rotors this weekend.. I installed hawk pads on the OEM rotors at 40,000 miles. Now with 73,000 the rotors were warp, so I decied to replace both, but pads have at least 50% left... so about 33,000 miles on the pads and still had another 25,000 or so left......

In case anyone is thinking about the hawk pads, there worked great, and lasted very long..........

Right now I installed Fronzen Rotors (front) OEM rotors (back) and ceramic pads front and rear................

the hawks were not ceramic, just regular composite from tirerack.com

the new ones I installed yesterday (guess I didn't have to yet) are ceramic.

My G is 2003 and I drive a lot!

are you referring to the HP street version?
Does it squeal at all?

I want to change mine in the Spring as the factory brembo's are squealing now for some reason plus, I want more braking capacity. Im thinking about
swapping out the rotors too if they look worn.

well it sounds like you did a lot of highway driving, so you'll use the brakes less than someone who did city driving. Either that or you're not enjoying the true potential of your car

That's good to know though, brakes are not expensive to change, it's just the time and effort required to do it.

me driving didn't change any from when I had to stock pads, those were dead at 29,000 miles..............I still had about 50% left on the hawks street....

They were a little noisy for the first 500 miles or so, after than no noise at all...less brake dust as well.
