GT Spec bars-installed(rear)

Today I installed rear GT spec bars. Didn't do front-don't have enough leverage to crack suspension nuts.
Rear bar-the easiest-take 2 nuts off, put bar on, put nuts back on.
Lateral little more difficult, you have to mark position of toe(I guess?) adjuster-it may start rotating messing up your alignment. If it happens, just reach from another side with 19 mm wrench and turn it back to place.
It barely cleared exhaust-it will probably rub a bit, but after exhaust chews itself a gouge in bar, it will be OK. I didn't hear any banging on test drive.
My Tanabe hangers are modified to sit about 10 mm lower to clear Progress bar.
Driving impressions-I have winter tires on and they do not inspire any hard cornering. Feels a bit more composed over speed bumps and when getting on my driveway.
Tools-breaker bar, 17 mm socket, 19 mm wrench, torque wrench(setting 48-59 ft/lb on all nuts). Manual recommends replacing the nuts after each disassembly, but I didn not. I'd check all torque in a week.

Lookin' good. I have the front and rear tie bars, lateral bar will not fit the sedan with coupe mid-pipe. Much better handeling with the GTSPEC bars. I wish I could do the lateral bar, but coupe mid-pipe is a must have for me.

Are you running a rear camber kit? Does the lateral bar have a elongated bolt hole to be used in conjunction with the SPC toe bolts?

All holes are elongated on all bars. I do not have rear camber kit, so I cannot say how they would work.

Oh yeah they are for real. I noticed an improvement in the overall handeling after having the front and rear tie bars installed.

nice write-up and pics. Thanks for sharing the info. Yes these chassis braces are for real, and they are a nice improvement to stiffening things up and making your car more responsive during "spirited" driving.

We are having a nice sale on these and have them in stock and ready to go for anyone interested.
I'd recommend refering to this thread for install info!
