Newbie here - Tire Sensor question

Can the stock tire pressure sensor work with any aftermarket rims? Is it easy to swap? Thanks.

TPS bands. I did the same install on my aftermarket wheels. I've had them on for at least 10K miles and over 100+mph. I took my wheels off for winter and no rattling so my bands have been test proven. I have pics but too lazy to post up a DIY.

I didn't put them on mine although they did fit onto my Volks. Reason is that I'm running on 30 series, so there's not much room for a heavy impact such as a pothole. It will likely get damaged if it so happened I hit a pothole right where the sensor is located.

^^If you had your TPS already programmed to your car and it was a simple screw in installation, you should of put them in. I rather risk breaking a TPS than driving on a flat. I got a buddy who now needs to replace 2 tires since he didn't realize his tires were flat and drove a few miles. He went with aftermarket wheels the same time I did but decided not to band in TPS in. Tires aren't cheap at $200-300 a pop. He's just glad the rims aren't damaged.
