Need Help with Brakes
I installed new brake pads and rotors about 2000 miles ago and today on my way back from lunch my buddy in his 350z pulled up to run me. We took off I had to step on the brake a few times to keep from rear ending him. I barely pushed it down just enough to slow me down and now my brakes feel like there is nothing there. I pulled in to work I was going maybe 5 MPH and I had to put the pedal to the floor to stop.. WHY?

Your brakes are not bedded in most likely. I had my 04 front rotors and pads replaced under warranty. About 15 minutes after I drove away some idiot charged out of a driveway, when I hit the brakes (only traveling about 35) and I though I was on slick ice! They did eventually slow me down enough to avoid him.
On an empty stretch of highway or country road: Be careful!!
Make 6 to 10 stops from approximately 35 mph with moderate pressure. Make an additional two to three hard stops from approximately 40 to 45 mph. Do not allow the vehicle to come to a complete stop. Allow brakes to cool a couple of hours leaving off the emergency brake, before you drive again.
If you installed after-market brakes follow the mfrs recommendations, otherwise the above should work. If none of this helps you, I would make it back to the mechanic ASAP.. and very carefully!
