To those who have Tien Basics...

I know you can adjust the height of your drop with Tien basics, but how hard is it to do it? and how do you do it....is it with a controller or do you manually have to do it yourself?

tein basics

if they are brand new they are not too bad to adjust. But if they been on your car for a good while good luck!! I adjusted mine after about 10,000 miles i broke two of the tools they give you to spin the the coil over. i used a breaker bar on the end of the tool to get more leverage. it took a good 3 hours to get every side the right height and even.

Its pretty much a problem with all coilovers, the threads tend to corrode and stick. Best option likely is to lube them frequently.

You have to adjust the height manually.

I've never really had a problem with them getting stuck, even after they've been on the car. You can spray WD40 on the threads to help loosen them. The first couple turns are the hardest then it moves pretty easy, unless you are putting more tention on the spring, then its still going to be hard.

I have lowered and raised my car a few times. Everytime it was in my garage and took maybe an hour to two hours to do. They do get stuck, and once you loosen it it can be a pita turn them.
