Squeaky Brakes

Well I recently got my car used (about 2 months ago). And I have had a problem with the brakes squeaking at low speeds when the brakes are slightly pressed. Anyone have this problem before? There is still about 50% pad left on the bakes...

G35's are notorious for this problem.

Squeeking and a lot of brake dust. Do a search for "Brakes" and you will find a slew of information. Infiniti extended the warrenty to 36,000 on brakes because they realized their mistake.

Even aftre replacing the brakes at the dealership, my brakes would squeek a few days later.

I have lived with the issue for years and am just now replacing the rotors/pads/and calipers. You don't have to go with a BBK (Big Brake Kit) but you should consider something other than stock.

So could I replace my pads and be ok? Or do I need to replace my rotors too? Or is it a mix between the pads, rotors and calipers?

Funny you bring this up. I went to the dealer for this today, my car has 11,500 miles on it. They said there is no problem with the brakes and that its normal. They said it will probably only happen now since its cold, but shouldnt happen on warmer days. You will have to live with it.

G35 6MT
gotta love those dealers! when i mine were squeeking, i asked about whether they were covered under warranty. he said that, since i have the 6MT (ie-brembo's) then it is not covered under warranty.
