well depends what you want to do with your car..if your looking to road race it then you need one IMO. Look at the 350z part of the reason why it handles so well. comes stock with one

well, it's true that it depends what you use it for. i just hope that those that spend that kind of coin would use it for something like road racing. i mean, is it really gonna make a different on the freeway, or when you make that right turn into the driveway going to vons go buy groceries?
i have seen so many threads that support the (VRT) bars, but most of those threads were like "wow, i could feel the difference going up my driveway" or "changing lanes on the freeway sure does feel dandy!"
here's a challenge, same car, same driver, with the bar on, and with the bar off...compare lap times. is that simple enough. i don't care about "torsional rigidity" and blah blah blah....does the damn thing work or not?

Yeah, true...people that spend the money you would think do put it to good use. I know that there is a difference when just driving down the road since it reduces the body flex significantly, but its not like its going to safe your life or add mad HP like those stickers.

I would if we still had the track but hey, at least we still got Tantalus. If anyone from VRT ever takes a vacation to here...I'll take them on an on "Akina" run. LOL

yup...you sure have sucky short term memory LOL
. I was the one that always promoted Super Laps and Drift Session on the Hawaii side before you left. I think you had ran once too.
The track closed because the lease has ended and the owners of the land sold it to someone else and basically kicked us to the curb, rendering us taking it elsewhere. Auto-X moved to the stadium, and XD-1 is making it's apperance regularly there too. That place is just way to small for the drifters and we're trying to look for another place. Since the track closed...tantalus has been in tight police watch. most of the guys I know that take it there take them at odd hours. There's a few other places that we go too.

I have no desire to make a product like this front strut tower brace (or anything like it) if it does not aid in the consistency and performance of the car, bottom line. I know that someone is gonna say that my opinion is just a ploy to sell more of these (PITA things) and that its all part of my "get rich quick scheme" Hahaha
(what a joke)BTW, the profit margin on these things are pretty slim after taking in account material costs, fabrication, jigs, powdercoating, product liability insurance, etc.
When these braces where first made and installed I, and anyone else for that matter who has driven a car with our front STB installed can feel the difference right away. I knew it had to be an improvement on handling, but I was not convinced quite yet until I track tested it. I only had to do a couple of back to back tests at Willow Springs with the brace disconnected, and then with it connected to see the lap times where not dramatically lower, yet they were marginally faster with the bar connected, but the "all important" consistency of the lap times was where the improvement was apparent. I then repeated the process at California Speedway just to back up my findings.
They work, otherwise I would not bother making them, believe me.
