ALIGNMENT RESULTS! How are these.
ALIGNMENT RESULTS! How are these.
Got my alignment done today. I took a pic of the print out but cant find my USB Cord, so here they go:
Front Camber:
L -1.3 R -2.0
Caster:
L 8.3 R 8.9
Toe:
L 0.06 R 0.05
Rear Camber:
L -1.6 R -2.1
Toe:
L 0.10 R 0.09
Do these sound normal? Is this close enough to stock to not be able to notice any great amounts of tire wear? The place I got it done from told me this was not good, meanwhile I went to a more reputable shop (TNR Racing) and the guy told me this is actually pretty good considering the car is dropped and that I could never get it back to perfect since the car was dropped. What do you guys think? TIA.

The front and rear cross camber is definitely NOT good. That -2.0 camber on the right front and 2.1 on the right rear is going to cause a good amount of uneven edge wear. I'd recommend getting front and rear camber kits.
That's definiely not normal for 350Z H-techs. I have 4 coupes that i do alignments on, they all have H-techs and all have similar specs.
Front Camber:
L -1.5 R -1.6
Toe:
L 0.05 R 0.04
Rear Camber:
L -1.6 R -1.7
Toe:
L 0.11 R 0.10

its not so much the rear as the front cross camber. I'm surprised the car isnt pulling with the -0.7 cross camber. It might just be that the springs havent settled fully, how long did you wait after installing the springs before doing the alignment??
THey should have been able to atleast get the right rear camber down to around -1.7.

Did you go to some chain alignment place? Or a good chassis shop? I would think a good shop could jiggle things around by loosening/tightening some suspension pieces to get another .25 degree of camber back on both the right front / rear. There's always some little things you can adjust to fudge the specs around.

I wonder if the right side is sitting lower thus making the camber out of whack? Would rotating the springs in the perch do anything to raise it just a tad (if that were the case)?

Sedan, I waited about 2.5 weeks before I got it aligned. I think they are fully settled by now. With this type of camber, how long do you guys think I could keep a set of wheels. How long about will they last. The car is leased, and I am definitely getting the new coupe in 09. Is it worth getting the camber kits? About how many miles can i get to each tire, and should I go back to the place and ask him to do something abou the rear or what? Oh, and yeah, I also have 20 inch rims that i put on during spring time with 245/275. 8.5/10.
Will these cause more wear or would I be able to get through most of my lease by switching rims and tires. Thanx guys, sorry for all the questions, just trying toi see whats best right now.

By the way, like many have said, the right side does sit a bit lower than the left, but from what I have noticed it is not much at all, not visible, meanwhile others have said you can see the difference.
It's really simple.
You're gonna have to invest in a set of camber kits for the fronts and rears.
No way around it.
Quite honestly, i worry more about toe than camber.
Moreso the combination of the two.
Negative camber PLUS aggressive toe will destroy tire life.
Minimizing the TOE angle will lengthen tire life.
But as for me, i love running -1.5 in the front and -1.0 in the rear.
TOE being damn near zero of course.
But that's just me.
Good luck.
