doll pin?

I went yesterday to get my tires and wheels mounted. Apparently there is this thing on the front wheels' hubs. I asked the guy, and one of the techs said that it was a doll pin? The five bolts are there for the rim, but this is a small golden projection that he said you can remove. However, he said he wouldnt do it though. Anyone have any info?

Thanks in advance.

Its there just to make sure your front and rear wheels dont get mixed up, completely non functionall, loose it, the tech is an idiot. You really should do a search next time.

Yeah that tech is an idiot. I called the stealership when I put on wheels and tires on they said that its to keep people from putting the stock backs on the front. You can take it off.
