Camber Kit Prices

Sorry if this topic has already been covered but I am new to this whole suspension topic. I was wondering why there is such a big price difference between the SPC front/rear camber kits and lets say a Stillen front/rear camber kit. Are you just paying for the name? or is Stillen's quality that much better then SPC?

Thanks

SPC's rear camber arms use a rubber bushing while stillen uses a spherical bearing setup, which adds to the cost, and they also use "toe" arms instead of toe bolts which are more expensive to manufacture

With that said does the SPC camber kit do the same job as the stillen even thought parts seem "cheaper"? Also seeing how I am in Canada and drive my G in the winter, do you think the SPC camber kit will hold up against the salt during the winter? or would the Stillen set up be better?

Thanks

The SPC kit actually holds up better because spherical bearings tend to go bad after a few years, while the bushings last longer. A lot of people including myself will also argue the Stillen's approach to toe adjustment isn't correct because they "toe" arm is actually refered to as a radius arm, and mainly changes caster. Toe changes are a side affect of lengthening the arm and thus isn't the "correct" way to adjust toe. The SPC toe bolts replace the factory adjustment, and increase the range, but requires elongating the holes which some people aren't comfortable with. All it takes is a dremel and high speed cutting bit though, pretty straightforward. I have the Eibach kit which is a rebadged SPC kit and I would recommend that setup for the rear.

I plan on getting the tein basic, do you think I would need to get both the front and rear camber kits?

Currently it is winter here in Canada and I don't plan on installing the coils until spring. But there seems to be a good deal on the SPC kit front/rear so I thought about purchasing them now and have everything ready for the spring.

Side now how do you like the falkins? I was thinking of using those for my 19's when spring rolls around, this is the main reason I am want to lower my car to accommodate my new rims.

If you don't drop the front too low, you can probably live with the camber and some excess wear on the fronts. For sure you should get the rear kit though, as the camber in the rear changes more drastically for a given drop. The 451s are decent, but no longer available, and the 452s were designed for a more luxurious ride, and provide less performance, so its hard to compare. Falkens in general are pretty good for the money though
