Akebono Pro-Act Ceramic Pads

I just installed these pads today. Install went very smooth. They are going to take a couple days to break in. I did not change or resurface my rotors. I wanted to test out some new pads and in 6 months or so i will do new rotors and pads. A guy I work with changes them for me for free so its simple for me. Only takes an hour and the part.

It definitely does not grip immediately harsh like the stock pads but stopping seems to be the same. So i will keep everyone updated in a week or 2 about how they are going.

So far happy. I paid like 135 for fronts and rears.

Remember the pad compound transfers a film to the rotors and these 2 surfaces are what creates the friction.

Whenever one changes pad compounds always good to do a very light resurface to wipe away the old compound layer otherwise you get mix and match and irregular friction for weeks sometimes even with a full rigorous bedding.
