btw, hotchkis sways gb ftw!

But having to purchase a premier membership totally defeats the purpose of trying to save a few bucks buying through a group buy.

Oh well.

....the purpose of purchasing a premier membership is not ONLY to get good deals on group buys...

help support the site. more PM space, which is very useful (for me at least). besides, if you get in on enough GBs, then the premier membership will pay for itseld. plus access to other parts of the site

you have to PAY to PLAY, jeez...people these days..

yeah, i believe that the hotchkis are a touch more adjustable, percentage wise, but i dont really think its going to be a difference too many people will notice.

Yes yes. . . I see your point. . . but you should also see mine

Looking at your join date I see we've both been members for about the same amount of time. In that time you've racked up twelve thousand posts and I probably won't be approaching a hundred for awhile. If you divide that 29.99 up among your posts, you'd have spend about a quarter of a cent for each one, whereas I would have paid about a buck a piece. I like the forum and appreciate it, but I don't spend enough time on it to justify thirty bucks every year.

I may or may not spend a few hundred bucks on my car in any given year (aside from maintenance and that sort) so I likely won't recoup the money. And also, how am I supposed to know what group buys are going on if I can't access the area? They tend to be sporadic if you're looking for something in particular anyway, it's like buying a chance that you might be lucky and save a couple bucks. I'd be better off buying scratch off tickets

I'll donate five or ten bucks to some forums I go to from time to time, maybe buy a tshirt or something, et cetera. But thirty bucks just seems like a lot all at once for a place that I don't frequent that much.

Anyway, I'll step down from my soap box
