Creaking can sometimes be caused by the open end of the spring wire placed all the way into the bushing seat pocket. Try moving the spring out so the end of the spring wire is about 1/4" from the inside of the seat pocket.

Sorry, let me try to clarify … the G uses springs that are closed on one end and open on the other. The closed end is meant to sit on a flat surface. The open end sits in a pad with a cutout pocket for the end of the spring wire to seat into.
Eibach recommends leaving ¼” to ½” space between the end of the coil and the spring seat pocket. This helps prevent spring noise when encountering large bumps. This is a tip actually printed in their catalog.

dealer replaced my front driver side compression rods. there were shot and replaced it for free. probly still under warrenty since i only have 33k miles.

Oh - you're actually talking about the suspension spring... I thought you meant some kind of spring in the compression rod (that's why I said wtf?)... I believe the compression rods are whats causing the squeaks for most - it's been a known problem for a long time... My rear were replaced and that noise went away - it looks like some owners are able to get fronts replaced (even though I don’t think they made a new part)... I've had the squeak with OEM springs and with Eibachs... it's not the springs for me. At first I thought it was anti-sway bar bushings… lubed the **** out of those – still squeaks. I’m 99.99% sure mine is compression rods. I’m going to see if dealer will replace when I go in next.Originally Posted by terrycs

But like I said earlier, if it’s not a newly designed part, it’s gonna squeak again… the rears were changed in 05 with beefier ones to fix known problems with pre-05. I wish they would do that with the front (maybe they have?)

Sorry to rehash this thread, but I just did this process the day before yesterday using the same CRC Silicone Spray, and I'm so happy with the results. All of the squeaking from the front of my car are gone, for now.

...sorry to bring this thread back to life, but I did the silicone treatment as well and it did nothing for the rear. The front, however, is quiet. I have a feeling my rear bushings are shot given how loud the squeaking is... I'm embarrassed to leave my own driveway.
