Damn! I wasn't planning on getting new shocks! I guess I'll hold off on lowering the car!

Even with a .70" lower in the rear, will it kill the shocks in the rear?

I appreciate all the help, especially jameyB. I just got off (im) with Mike from Altered Atmosphere, great help. I am going by there tomorrow to discuss all my options. Sound like 06" revised z springs with 06" coupe struts for the front and 06" coupe springs and shocks for the rear. I think, ha, ha ,ha. Or i'll drop $800.00 on a Tein basic setup, **** the old lady off and sleep on the couch for the next month,(for all you married guys.)

I think you can do complete revised Z suspension with a coil spring isolator to achieve the 'lift' in the rear that the coupe springs gives you.

I'm just trying to decided if I should install the springs or not, don't really want to spend $ on new shocks.

Since you're going with the revised Z springs you don't need spacers or coupe rear springs. I have the revised springs on my car and it sits perfectly level. Same tire to fender gap on front and rear.

I do agree you will want to go with the revised or aftermarket shocks with these springs. I still have my stock sedan sport shocks for now and the ride is jittery on bumps. Like the shocks can't quite keep up with the springs.

Who ever told you that got revised and unrevised springs confused. You can run the Unrevised springs on your stock sport shocks. You just have to make sure the springs you pick up for the rear weather they be G35 coupe or 350z springs in the rear are unrevised springs. This can be determined by the color of the dots on the springs. I forgot the colors but do a search and it's all there. The front spring rate for both unrevised and revised springs are all the same for all model year 350z and G35 coupe.

The biggest issue I had was trying to track down a set of unrevised springs for the rear since there was a shorter production cycle for these on the 350z. However they are still available on G35 coupes with 18" wheels in all model years.

I have a full set of unrevised z spings I havent put on yet. I am still debate if this is good for my tires after alignment. I really don't want to buy tires every 12 months. Im an agressive driver.

where do you get the coil spring isolator for our cars and what long term effects can I expect using this isolator?

Here are some pics of my '06 6MT sedan on revised z springs. See, no droopy butt. Total drop was about 1" in front and 3/4" in back.

Keep in mind that whom you spoke to on the phone isn't served by any option that is oem based and will likely work hard to talk you into something may not in the end be a better choice. If your needs really are coilovers, have at it, just make sure they are YOUR needs and not the shops. It really helps to be a informed so you don't end up making poor choices.

I have my 06 z suspension off the car now. Suspension has 1500 miles on it. If you are interested just let me know. It will drop the car 1" all the way around and it handled beautiful. Not as sweet as this nismo s tune suspension though.
