D-Specs with Stock Springs

I'm about to replace my shocks, and am just looking to renew (or slightly enhance) the performance back to when the car was new. I don't want any drop, so I plan on retaining the old stock springs. Based on your experiences/knowledge, would 1) new OEM sport shocks & stock springs or 2) Tokico D-Specs (set at 5 turns) & stock springs be the best? Is there any issue with not replacing the springs as well (do they "wear out" at the same rate as the shocks)?

Vs what a dealer would want for new sport shocks, by all mean's get the D-specs. Much superior valving performance vs oem. I doubt your car has enough mileage to begine to worry about the current oem springs.

So is the general consensus that the D-Specs would be considered an upgrade from the 03 OEM coupe shocks, or are they just an acceptable substitute?

D-Specs are a big step up from sport shocks. I had mine for a year, happy with ride and handling.
