Thinking of lowering

What would be the best solution to do a drop of 2" or so? and cheap as possible. I do a lot of driving so i need to something that wont kill my stories, i was thinking coilovers, would i need a camber kit? or anything else for perfect alignment?

If you drive alot then I would look into a Z set up. Stock spring rates and a drop approx 1". The car will ride and handle better.

2 inches will be harsh, you'll need a camber kit and new shocks. If you do alot of driving I would avoid that, it will drive you crazy. My last car was dropped two inches and I hated it after 5 months and went back to stock. Basically going 2 inches will not be cheap.

go with the Z-set up as it's the best IMO if you do a lot of driving. I run about 3500mi a month and the z-suspension rides better than stock, looks damn aggressive and won't kill your suspension or your back. You can also carry 4 people in the car without an issue.

Full Z-setup the back will be much more lowered? the back sits decent now, when full load in back my rims go into the finders. Now the front of the car looks retarded. TOTALLY retarded.

If you want a nice decent drop go with this setup... tein spring 1.2F 0.9B with tokico D spec 32 or 36 way adjustable gas shocks, i had this setup for about a little over a year still love the ride no problem what so ever, no camber kit needed.. but alig is needed. IP 05 coupe btw

If you decide to go for the 350z setup, make sure you go for the REVISED, I just bought a pair from one of the member w/ false advertisement & its bumpy as HELL!

Coilovers is the way to do for that much drop. If you try that much drop with springs and shocks you'll be ridding on the bump stops even if they are trimmed, add in passengers and it will be that much worse.

Would you need a camber kit, yes front and rear, "IF" you want to be withone oem alignment spec as in a "perfect alignment". A 1" drop will not require any kit.

I can recommend the Megans, if you do what I did. Pull the 560lbs front springs off and move the 448lbs rear springs to the front. In the rear install oem revised 350Z rear springs on cut down upper spring mounts. I did that to better match the front dampners with a spring rate they could live with as in better ride and drive quality. Plus I was able to dial in to a nice
1.8" drop all the way around. In the end I bought another set of 448lbs springs and recently sold the kit. You can buy 448lbs springs like I did if you want for a additional $100. You will have enough spring rate to support additional passengers just to mention it. If that sounds like more then you want to take on, invest in a revised Z suspenision and call it a day. Be mindfull of aftermarket spring choices that are either progressive or softer then oem (considering your desire to carry passengers).

I found a set of revised from 04.5. springs have 50k on them and shocks 60k they were lowered using new springs for that extra 10k. Do you think it could of damaged it? is the km's on the setup to much?
