Aftermarket Rims Do's and Dont's?

I have a IP 2003 G coupe w/ Brembos. I want to get aftermarket rims for my summer wheels because I live in NY and plan to use my oem's for the winter. That being said I really want to get 19's but I am worried about my alignment needing constant adjusting if im switching between 18's and 19's. My oems are stock 225 front and 245 rear. I would like to go staggered 19's 245 front and 275 rear. My Budget does not allow me too drop car right away, do I really have to if I stick with aftermarket 18's?
What is the criteria with aftermarket rims and needing a drop?
Should i even consider 18's?
Thanks for ur help guys!

you can get 19s just get a lower profile tire to compensate for the larger rim diameter...18s are great performance wise, are lighter, and less expenisive.
dont rush into buying a set, look at a few used sets and dont go after a set that is not within your budget or is not what you really want....its a big investment, so be happy with your choice.

to add to the DONTs...when you take your car in for an alignment...make sure they dont scratch your rims! its a big investment and it sucks when they screw up...so make sure to check your wheels before and after the alignment/tire mounting process...i learned the hard way good luck though 19s will look good

Do's and Dont's!

Do I have to get an Alighnment done everytime I swap between my summer and winter wheels? Does it really matter that I want to swap between 19's and 18's?
Should I get 18's to match stock numbers so I'm not altering the weight and size of wheels everytime I swap them?

Sorry Guys, lots of questions I know, Please help?

No, alignment doesn't change enough to need an alignment everytime to swap wheels.
