just lowered my car--problems

Hey guys,

well i just had my car dropped an inch above my tires with tein coilovers and spc cambers which I picked up yesterday

when i picked up the car, I looked at my dash and my VDC off light,SLIP, and RAS were on..I figured the ecu needed to be reset.

I just turned on my car and almost every light possible is on...

-VDC OFF
-SLIP
-RAS
-ABS
-Check Engine

im very concered about this and was hoping you guys could give me your thoughts on it.

furthermore, I have an mrev2 and injen cai in my car and recently (past 2 weeks) my car has been almost cutting out to the point of stalling when it is idle. It hasnt stalled yet because it always recovers, I think its because there is either too little air going through or too much

now Im going to try and bring my car back down tomorrow (Monday) but I may have some issues which would lead me to not bringing it down till Wed. afternoon.

is there any chance I could do damage by waiting these few days and driving it to school and back?

any and all help would be appreciated
thanks guys,
Russ

Im sure everyone else will chime in with the right answer, but it sounds like your sensors may be off. Or the hoses may not be fully connected and there is too much air getting in. I just had to reconnect my hose, because when i would sit still, it would almost die out, like you were saying. I would check your connections and make sure they are all tight. Then i would check all the sensors and make sure they are also tight. Other than that, id wait for another member who knows more..

when did you order the spc a-arms? you may have gotten the newest a-arms, but not the fully revised ones yet (b/c they are not out yet). the newest a-arms come with new locking nuts or whatever.

Check engine light is easy, just pull the code using an od2 reader, then you'll be able to tell what the problem is

Your problem may also have to do with your RAS, no one I know of has significantly dropped their RAS car, and there doesn't seem to be alot of information out there about how the system works and how it goes about sensing and adjusting the rear steering

if thmotorsports is anything like peter at IAP, he will take care of you so long as you ordered them before these issues were known i guess.

hey may have sent you the newest ones at the time, but mark4x4 is still testing out the newest ones (at this time). the final spc a-arms have not yet been released.

well when I spoke with him I specifically asked for the new redesigned a-arms, is that what I received or was there only 1 version out?

There were 2 designs out, both which still had problems. The third design is still yet to be released, thats what ahero is talking about.
