Why Would You Need Racing Brake Shimes?

Why Would You Need Racing Brake Shims, If On The Back Of The Brembo Pad, There Are Shims Already, Wil They Do Anything?

dont buy them they are universal shims and they dont fit our brake pads.i got them and they didnt work so i sent them back

A true precision shim is not universal but exact fit. Oem shims are tuned via slots and thickness and multi laminates to reduce noise with oem pad compositions ONLY.

Sure they will fit but the noise reduction will probably be wrong or different with different pad compositions.

Watch out for the words "oem style or oem fit and finish"

AND - buying a matched set of shims for any brake pad, aftermarket or not, is very much advised, if they are available.
