For those with coilovers
For those with coilovers
I was thinking about getting these but had a few questions. Mainly, how easy is it to adjust the ride height once you have them on? Do you have to remove the wheel(s) or no? Second, what is the install like for a fairly knowledgable diy'er? I see the rear coil springs sit on the shock absorber whereas the stock springs are separate. Finally, how big a difference in handling between Tein Basic's and Flex?

Adjusting the ride height on Coilovers you have to remove the wheel to get the keys to the adjustment rings. Install is fairly easy, if you're installing Tein Basics you will need a spring compressor as you have to reuse the stock top mounts up front. Both basic's and flex's are not true coilovers so the spring is apart from the strut just like stock. The Flex is a bit more stiff on its highest setting than the Basics but can be a little harsh for some people. I think the Basics are the best stiffness wise, not too much, not too little.
