Question about which coils to get?? Opinions please
Question about which coils to get?? Opinions please
Well my wheels are ordered and should be ready pretty soon, and I just picked up my new tires yesterday.....So now its on to suspension......
I didnt really want to throw my wheels on until its dropped (I hate the gap)...
Now I was going to get the Tein Basics to lower my car with, thats what everyone on here told me to get .....and its only a little less then 800 shipped.
But now I am wondering if I should get the Tein Flex instead?
How noticable is the difference that the EDFC unit allows you to move your car up and down? Can you adjust it while the car is on, or moving, or how does it work? Is it worth double the price?
And if I do spend the 1600 instead of 800, is there a better/different company I should look into for my coils?
Any help from people who have either one or the other would be really greatly appreciated. Thanks!

even on the softest setting, tein flex is way to stiff for me.
the basics offer everything i want as far as coilovers go.
stick with the basics, imo. unless you like/need your car to be uber stiff.

thanks for the reply =)
so you suggest the basics? because they are softer feeling?
mine is only a daily driver and i dont plan on tracking it or anything like that so it doesnt need to be super stiff
I was just wondering about being able to raise and lower it for speedbumps and crappy roads and things like that....

If you are serious about adjusting ride height from inside the car, you might want to look into the Roberuta Cup Kit. It is pricey. You can find info here:

I believe it will fit/work with the Tein Basics too.
wow thanks for that RudeG
I was under the impression that thats exactly what the EDFC did, raise and lower the rise height. So I am waaay on the wrong track then.
Back to research I guess
