if you wanna save your tires, youll want to get a camber correction kit for the front and rear. but most just get the rear kit and either leave the fronts alone or flip the fronts as needed.

The front kit is 2X the price and rear tires for most of us (staggered) are a lot more.

but in the long run (long being relative to how much you are dropped), i think both front/rear camber kits are good "investments."

True.

I just got a front kit from another member. The#1 reason was to help improve braking performance. Tire wear was a close second.

camber is good, its toe thats bad,

guarantee if the OP took his car to a alignmen shop that uses lasers his toe is messed up.

i run around -4/-5 camber on all my cars and dont have problems w/ wear, u just gotta get stuff aligned properly for your driving habits..

just remember, CAMBER is ur friend, toe is ur enemy..

pics of said -5 deg's of camber on the G. I thought my -2.5 was excessive, -5 and less than half the tire must be touching the ground still

pics soon, right now i only have my evo/s2000/tl pictures of my preferred alignment.. i run -3.5 all around evo, and etc on toe/caster, -3.5F -4.5R s2000, etc on toe/caster, Tl runs -2.3F -3.5R, and G35 ima set her up to around -3F -4.5R..

camber is by far your best friend, im sorry to say it but when have you ever needed EVERY ounce of tread going in a straight line? never lost trraction here @ 60 acelerating to 90 in a straight line, however i have lost traction in a turn, and thats where the camber helps you immensely. id sit and explain it out but camber is good, you might have to buy directional tires and flip flop them at a certain time to get the same miles outa tires but its worth it in the end.

Maybe it is worth it to you but some people are not looking to get extreme performance and would rather have better tire life with good performance.

Also with that much negative camber your braking performance is affected quite a bit. There was a test done by one of the magazines a while back with their 350Z test car and after going with a larger BBK F&R their stopping distance still increased over stock by ~5-10% because their camber was a little over -2 degrees from stock.

It all depends on what you want out of your car but I would not generalize and say negative camber in that kind of excess is good. To each their own…

alignment is one of the top things in deciding traction, its funny all these guys "must" have these 305's but without a proper alignment setup it doesnt mean anything.

if u flip flop the tires @ half life then you get the same life out of the tire... i personally think its worth it, sports cars r to be driven, not driven around slow not to cause tire wear.

Yeah I agree you need some negative camber for performance and a little more than stock is good. I had major traction issues with my TT kit until I got a rear camber kit and brought it back in some.

You don't need to explain anything, I'm well versed in camber and alignment settings, I just want to see pics of -4.5/5 degrees of camber on your setup

the wear on my tires looked pretty aggressive. I would just flip your rear tires after a while to even out the wear. it doesnt hurt to have one but you dont really need it unless you drop your car.

My Tein basic coilovers should be at the front door this week.
So does anyone know if i should purchase camber kits for the front AND rear or will the rear be good enough. I haven't heard of anyone having problems with just having the rears.
