I have hawk pads on my car with the stock rotors. Today i noticed they are putting some pretty big grooves in the rotors. I can run my fingernail over them and they it gets stuck in some of the grooves in the rotors. Is this normal for hawks? The stock rotors have about 4,000 miles on them. My dad has about 5,000 on his BMW 3 series with stock pads and rotors and the rotors are smooth as a baby's bottom. Whats the deal with these?

That can't be good. My stock rotors are still smooth at 40k+.
