Break Pad Break-In

i just got new pads/rotors. is there a process i should do in order to 'break' the pads in? i thought i read something about driving at highway speeds and lightly pressing the break in order to remove the top layer for better performance...Any one have suggestions on how to 'break' the pads in so they last and work correctly? TIA

Make sure you do it where theres no traffic or not alot of cars.... Cause for a little you wont have any stopping power.

I found a nice back road when I bedded in my brakes. Kinda feels weird when your driving and stepping on the brakes.... and nothings happening lol

BRAKE PAD......brake in!

It's easy to brake the pads in, all you need is a quiet 6 block stretch with
no one on your tail. I completed the following:
4.......35mph to 10mph
3.......45mph to 10mph
2.......65mph to 10mph
Then you park your car for several hours and let everything cool down. You
can smell the pads and heat but the next time you take your car out you
have no squeeks and damn little dust.......life is good!

The main trick in bedding in pads is NEVER STOP UNTILL THE BRAKES ARE COOLED OFF! Do not do it in traffic! You need an empty road. The will smoke and stink if you do it right.
