Hawk pads <> ceramic or not?

Hey guys.. I just bought these Haw Performance ceramic pads HB268Z.665 for $65. I think is a good price and I'd like to know if they are legit. The box self explain, but.. the pads won't tell if they are ceramic or not.

They are ceramic. I have had their HPS pads for a while and am very happy with them.

I got mine from Tire Rack. They were not the best price but close and had them in stock. My BBK uses oem 300Z pads.

I'm sorry i couldn't get back to you faster, if you still need the pads let me know and I'll send you an IM. I got them at good price and free ground shipping, took about 4 days to receive them.

Someone advised me to match the OEM configuration... that is if your car uses ceramic then use ceramic.... if semi metallic then use semi metallic, as rotors surface also plays a part in it. Unless you are changing both pads and rotors that are compatible with each other. Can someone confirm this?? I need rear brakes. It does make sense to me.

Ceramic is just a MARKETING TERM, as almost all pads around the world have some ceramic elements in their mix.

Unfortunately you cannot tell how much of what the trade secret ingredents are.

Many pads contain cashew oil and ground up cashew shells and dust plus metal turning scraps....................does just a tiny pinch of ceramic make it a ceramic pad sure it does if it sells better.
