damage

i was driving along my normal rout to get some lunch. i turn onto a street that is in the process of bing paved so all of the sewer plates are raised. i avoid as many as i can but one of them managed to go under the car. as the plate is under the car i hit a pot hole which drops my car onto the plate and crushes what i believe to be and under body stabilizer. the chassis itself was slightly dented. and recommendations as far as where i can order this part or buy an after market one. Thanks

I don't have an answer to your question right off the bat. Can you post a pic of the damage?

Also, do yourself a favor and go back to the scene of the damage with a camera. Unless your suspension is lowered like crazy (which would make this your fault), you might be able to get the city to pay for the damages. Look to see if there are signs that say "Travel at your own risk". If there are none, then you might eventually be able to get reimbursed.

The annual edition of ultimate wheel and tire guide, which you can find at walgreens, walmart and so on. It has a article with a step by step how to claim against the city for car damages. This may be of help. I missed a few of the steps and didn't get anywhere with a broken front, bent rear rim. Wish I would have had a guideline. Good luck
