Suspension upgrade questions

I have an 05 G35 AT w/ 18" wheels. I was thinking of getting coil overs but I am a bit confused. So many of them are listed only for 03-04 models. The HKS website specifically says this, but I have read many with 06 putting on the HKS RS or LS.

Also, do all coil overs lower the cars or do they just give you the ability to lower if you want to? Could I buy Tein Basic or HKS LS+ or RS and keep the stock height and not need a camber kit?

I will not be doing autocrossing, just basically a few twisty roads on the way to work. I do not want to make my car ride very harsh and rattle like many of my friends cars. Are any of the coil overs out there that are just slightly stiffer than stock going to give me much a handling advantage over stock or am I wasting my time and money?

Thanks.

Any coilovers that say 03-04 will work with the 05-07 coupes and 05-06 sedans.

I dont know about the HKS but with the basics they will lower your car -1.4F/0R at the highest spot so you cant keep the factory height in the front. Tein CS coilovers will be as close to stock (feel wise) as you can get.

Thanks for the info.

Would I see much of an increase in handling performance with the Tein CS?

The HKS RS actually has a softer spring up front than the HKS LS+. So would the RS have a more comfy ride or would the difference in the damper make the RS more harsh/stiff? Considering that the LS+ is supposed to be more comfortable, I am surprised at how stiff the front springs are.

Where can I find out what the drop is on all of these coil overs? I am not seeing it listed on the websites or the sticky in this forum.

the hks ls are still more comfortable than the hks rs despite the stiffer spring rates because of how the shocks are setup with them for the total package.
