I think I paid close to $300 for my set of premium drilled and slotted. The guy who has them now hasnt even had a chance to install them because he was going to resurface them and powdercoat the hubs. Can he exchange them under some kind of cirrcumstancial warranty? He is local so no shipping would even be involved.

They are cast iron......what do you expect to happen to them? they'll turn to chrome?

I don't understand how some people think. All cast iron brake rotors rust!!! ALL OF THEM!!!!! IT IS CAST IRON....when iron oxidizes, iron oxide is formed....also know as RUST!!!!

True depending on the material.You can get them double drilled on different material like the E line they are at an incredible price but trust me they are really good.BTW your friend has em i thought it was you who had them bad. I doubt u can warranty not sure but ill ask.

He has them now. I sold them to him for $50 when I bought my new rotors.

i bought my R1s from the group buy on this site...not through Performance Factory. I painted my rotors with high temp flat black paint prior to installing them because I know what happens to cast iron rotors.

anyways...what the big deal with a little rust? You're acting like your rotors have been hanging out with SpongeBob at the bottom of the ocean, and you have so much corrosion that rotor won't even turn.

Samething happen with mine. When they say "Rust Protection" and when water hits it for the first time you see RUST all over it, then what?

Dam their rotors look tight. I'm really feeling the street series icebreaker rotors.

I have had my new rotors for a few months now and the still look perfect. It has been raining alot and I havent seen a spec of rust. A friend got a set at the same time and his are perfect too. The new brand of rotors I got were actually cheaper than the R1's.

1. why should you have to spend extra time and money to make a brand
new product suitable? Shouldnt "rust protected" rotors be rust protected?
Is this false advertising?

Yea you bought them for cheap thats cool. But you see look at the slots outdated and eventually after time they will get filled with pad left overs. yea you could of gotten the R1 E-Line rotors its different material. You will see what im talking about when your slots start getting filled with ****.No You can't call us false advertising when u had bad luck on your rotors what u dont expect mistakes to happen? Are you too perfect?

The point is that you should back up your product. If I got the one bad product that rusted, shouldnt it be replaced?

Mistakes DO happen and that is what a warranty is for.

So, by making your last statement, you admit that you made a mistake but confirm that your warranty is BS.
