R33 Skyline Brake kit.

Hey guys,

Hopefully in the next week or so I should be able to find out if the break kit from an R33 skyline will bolt up to the V35/G35.

My 05 V35 has the non Brembo kit, and the R33 Skylines Turbos came standard with Nissan 4 piston callipers up front and twin piston callipers at the back.

The best part of all this, is that you can usually get all 4 callipers used here in Australia for around $500-$600. That's around $400-$500 USD

When cleaned up and painted these callipers can look quite good, which is the main reason I'm looking into. Anyway, there's a guy here who should attempt it in the next week or so, and if anyone's intersted I'll let you know how it goes.

If anyone has tried this, let me know. The only thing I'm a little worried about is will this screw with the break balance of the car?

Here's a couple of pics of a used set.

So not a BBK, but BTSCBK (bigger than stock cheap Break Kit)

They are larger than z32 brakes, so they may work. You might have to build a bracket adapter though

the guy attempting to do the fit, is removing them fron his R33 race car, and has a bit of knowledge. I have a sneaky suspicion that the fronts will be ok, but the rears may need some mods to fit.

Hopefully he'll get around to it this coming week.

(oh and this is on his V35 not mine)

Cheers

Heard back from the guy who was giving it a shot and unfortunately he took a quick look and concluded that it won't fit "easily" didn't quite say exactly what the prob would be, but I think he's decided to go for a traditional BBK instead.
I'm hoping I can try it some day, but probably won't be soon.

Cheers

Sorry, already tried...

Front calipers do not fit.. you will need to use a spacer to have the caliper placed properly... also the rotors that are the size for the calipers are the wrong offset when used on the g35 hub / spindle...

as far as the rears.. never tried...
